Tweens' Mental Health

Duration: 6 Hours, 2 Minutes

The tween years are a transitional period, from childhood to adolescence. Young adolescents continue to explore life and the world and begin to develop unique identities separate from their parents. With the onset of puberty during this stage, tweens will experience a significant number of changes, and it's important they have the support of their parents as they live through these new changes.

This phase can be a challenging period for both children and their parents; this is why we created this workshop where we will guide you through the critical phase of the tweenage years and will provide all the tools you need so you are ready and prepared for this phase.

Session 1  - Your Guide to your Tweens' Mental Health

  • What are your tween's emotional and psychological needs?
  • How to satisfy these needs?
  • How to respond to rebellion?
  • Most effective communication strategies with tweens.
  • How to stimulate their emotional intelligence?
  • Misbehaviors, what are their causes, and how to overcome them.
  • Increasing tweens' self-confidence.
  • How to reduce the negative effects of peers on your tween?

Session 2 - Sexual Education

  • Tweens' Love Life.
  • What is sexual education?
  • Privacy & respecting one's physical boundaries.
  • Things to keep in mind & things to avoid.
  • Your perspective about sexuality.
  • Steps of talking about sex.
  • What information to give about sex.
  • How to talk about sex if children didn't ask?
  • Explaining about normal developmental changes.
  • How to deal with masturbation?
  • How to tell explain about LGBTQ?

Once you register, you will gain 6 months of access (180 days).
